The Mexican Emanuel Navarrete puts his WBO super featherweight title on the line against his compatriot Oscar Valdez this Saturday December 7th in a rematch of their August 2023 fight which headlines a Top Rank card at the Footprint Center in Phoenix, Arizona (10:30 pm ET, ESPN Deportes/ESPN+ en EE. UU).
The co-main event is another rematch. The Mexican Rafael Espinoza defends the WBO featherweight championship against Cuban Robeisy Ramíreza second part to the epic confrontation that ESPN classified as the Surprise of the Year 2023 when Espinoza knocked down Ramírez in the last round to win a majority decision last December.

Navarrete (38-2-1, 31 KOs) dominated Valdez by unanimous decision (116-112, 118-110 and 119-109) in their first meetingand now returns to 130 pounds for his third defense of the 130 title. The 29-year-old monarch moved up to 135 pounds for a title fight in May against Denys Berinchyk, but lost a split decision when trying to become champion of four divisions. Before the loss, his previous fight was a draw in November with Robson Conceicao following his win over Valdez.
Valdez (32-2, 24 KOs), 33, has competed once since the loss to Navarretea seventh-round TKO of Liam Wilson in March. Valdez, 33, is a former champion at 126 and 130 pounds. He is ESPN’s No. 5 super featherweight, while Navarrete is No. 1.
Espinoza (25-0, 21 KOs) has fought once since taking the title from Ramirez, a fourth-round TKO victory over Sergio Chirino in July. Espinoza30, of Mexico, is ESPN’s No. 2 featherweight.
Ramirez30, a two-time Olympic gold medalist, bounced back from the loss with a seventh-round TKO in June against Brandon Benitez. Ramirez (14-2, 9 KOs) is ESPN’s No. 8 boxer in the 126-pound class.
Navarrete-Valdez II and Espinoza-Ramírez II will air live on ESPN, ESPN Deportes and ESPN+ at 10:30 pm ET (in the US).
