Kofi Kingston, Xavier Woods y Big E They ended a decade of relationship on the last episode of Monday Night Raw. Woods and Kingston were about to finish off The New Day at the faction’s tenth anniversary celebration, but their partner returned by surprise to try to mediate between them.
The result ended up being totally unexpected, with Kofi and Xavier berating Big E for his absence in the last two years and accusing him of having chosen his new personal and work life over his “brothers.” Woods and Kingston eventually made peace, but at the expense of Big E, who was kicked out of the faction.
Since then, fans have not stopped wondering how this storyline could end this way, with the breakup of one of the most successful and beloved teams in WWE history after a decade full of great moments and memories. Kofi Kingston himself wanted to respond to the fans in his most recent appearance on the podcast Chase & Big Joe Show.
“I’m surprised that most of these people don’t really understand why we did what we did. We go out there and you can always know that you’re right when you make an argument and just state the facts. Everything we said Monday night was completely factual. We told the truth“Kofi stated.
“You may not like to hear it, but people on the Internet and on social media are cursing us and we are met with insults that have nothing to do with what we are talking about. I know that when you can’t make a rational argument, that means that you know you are wrong, you have no facts for the argument. Just because you’re upset doesn’t mean you’re right.“Kingston said.

Last Monday’s segment left many unknowns regarding the future of the three fighters. On the one hand, it is unknown if The New Day will continue to function as a team with Xavier and Kofi or if, on the contrary, they will opt for a name change or the creation of a new team. For his part, Big E will continue waiting for his neck to fully recover before being discharged. At the moment, there are no guarantees that he will be able to return to action, although he is still working to achieve this.
