Jack Catterall delivered a superb performance against Regis Prograis to give a strong argument for the championship fight he hopes to land.

Catterall won by unanimous decision with cards of 117-108, 116-109, 116-109 in this super-lightweight duel on Saturday in Manchester.

The Brit opened the machine halfway, while causing two falls to the canvas in the ninth round thanks to powerful lefts.

“I’m very satisfied, it was a great moment. He’s quite a boxer, twice world champion,” underlined the winner about Prograis, who however suffered a second defeat in a row.

It’s a third major victory in a row for Catterall, after beating Jorge Linares and Jack Taylor.

On this same card, Campbell Hatton was unable to take his revenge on James Flint, who also won by unanimous decision (7-94, 96-94, 96-95).
