Fernando Costilla, legendary WWE commentator in Spain, was interviewed this weekend by the Solowrestling Radioshow team due to his absence from the WWE Survivor Series comments.

Fernando Costilla explained to us what happened the days before and after the premiere of WWE on Netflix. WWE contacted him in September, where they asked about his availability.
“It happened that… Basically, in September WWE contacted me in case I was interested and available to work with them again.and I told them yes,” Costilla commented. “And that’s where the thing stayed. “They told me that they would talk to me and that they were studying the different possibilities and options.”
Seeing that WWE premiered on Netflix with Crown Jewel, Fernando was able to contact the company. “I contacted WWE and they told me that they had made that decision, that They were perfectly aware of my career, but they had decided to opt for the other two commentators“.
Fernando explained to us how the agreement for the famous Survivor Series promo that generated so much movement on social networks was forged. At this point, he confirmed that not only did he record the Survivor Series spot, he also recorded another promo that will be released shortly.
“They called me from a sound studio to go record something related to wrestling.and I: ‘But what is it?’ And they told me that they couldn’t tell me about it, because it was for Netflix, due to privacy issues. And then I went there, and when I went to announce I knew it was the announcement for Survivor Series.”
“Then they called me again to another story that I hope will come out soon, another spotanother ad, more or less in the same sense. “I understand that in some way they want me to be there, because it represents my voice, basically because of my last stage, but for whatever reason they prefer to have another option at the commentary table.”
“I can’t do more,” he emphasized about the movement that occurred on social networks. “I mean, I understand people, I understand the approach they take and, in part, When I recorded the spot, that one seemed a little surprising to me.. “At that moment I thought not only as a worker, but as a spectator.”
