The New Day celebrated their 10th anniversary as a faction on WWE RAW last night, and Big E made a surprising return. The former WWE champion has not competed since suffering a broken neck in 2022, but returned to the red brand last night with an interesting offer for Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods.
The veteran suggested becoming the duo’s manager as a way to get The New Day back on track. Woods and Kingston scoffed at the suggestion and turned rude as they berated Big E for not being there for them for the past two years.
Listed below are four targets for the faction following their recent heel turn on WWE television.

Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods have not been able to agree for months. The duo had a heated argument after being crushed by Alpha Academy last week, and all signs pointed to The New Day breaking up. The New Day may decide to approach RAW GM Adam Pearce in the coming weeks and demand a shot at the World Tag Team Championship. Finn Balor and JD McDonagh currently hold the titles, but have only defended them a handful of times since becoming champions in June. Woods and Kingston can capture the titles in the coming weeks, allowing Balor to focus on his rivalry with Damian Priest.
#3. Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods could take revenge on Alpha Academy
Last week, Alpha Academy’s Akira Tozawa and Otis defeated Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston on WWE RAW. Woods thought he should start the fight, but Kingston disagreed. Xavier tagged himself in, but Tozawa ended up pinned after he hit a Senton.
The New Day seems to be on the same page once again and could request a rematch against Alpha Academy. Kingston and Woods would likely win the rematch and could attack Otis and Tozawa after the bell to turn the crowd on them as heels.
#2. Woods and Kingston could target The Wyatt Sicks in WWE RAW
Wyatt SixThe Wyatt Sicks are currently in a bitter rivalry with The Miz and The Final Testament on RAW. Uncle Howdy’s faction will take on The A-Lister and Karrion Kross’ faction in an eight-person tag team match next week on the red brand.
The sinister group has already attacked individuals who betrayed their teammates. Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods may believe that The Wyatt Sicks will eventually come after them on RAW and could decide to take action next week. The New Day could interfere in the grudge match and cost Uncle Howdy’s faction the match against The Final Testament and The Miz.
#1. The New Day could target WWE Tag Team Champions Motor City Machine Guns
The Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin) defeated The Bloodline on the October 25 edition of SmackDown to capture the WWE Tag Team Championship. The Street Profits and #DIY are currently seeking the titles on WWE SmackDown.
Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods could decide to switch brands and face the Motor City Machine Guns on the blue brand. The two legendary teams could have an epic rivalry for titles in the coming months.
