JBL’s wishes for John Cena’s last run.
The legend of North American wrestling, JBL, gave an interview for Something to Wrestle, where he admitted that would like to see John Cena breaking Ric Flair’s record as part of his farewell tour.
“It’s incredible when you say goodbye to these great legends, personally, I put John Cena on par with Dr. J. I think it’s the greatest compliment anyone could receive. Although at the same time it is usually somewhat bittersweet. I love Cena. I would love to see him win his 17th championship. It would be amazing to see him break that record. It could be something historic and fun.
I hate to see him retire. I’m going to stay tuned and enjoy every last minute, but sometimes I wish kids like these could be a part of this forever. I know he will still be with us, but no longer in an active role. We might see him do things behind the scenes, but as far as being an active wrestler goes, this will be his retirement. “He has had a memorable career.”
JBL.
Let us remember that the self-proclaimed Wrestling God maintained an intense rivalry with the marine over the years, as part of their rivalry over the WWE Championship.
