Now 79 years old, Vince McMahon has seen his reputation take a hit in recent years as accusations of misconduct and sex trafficking against former employees remain before the courts.
In the wake of the investigations, McMahon withdrew from World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), now that the organization had merged with the UFC to form TKO.
While he is no longer involved in the day-to-day running of the empire he built, his name is still associated with the world of wrestling and the impending release of a documentary series from the giant Netflix this week dates back to surface several stories.
The main one, moreover, is fueled by Vince McMahon himself.
On the eve of the first online broadcasts, McMahon took to social media to explain, in part, his participation in the project. He is particularly sorry about the distortion of the facts on the part of the production in order to paint him in an unfavorable light.
Without specifying exactly the nature of the documentary series, it is assumed that it will cover the accusations of sexual misconduct against McMahon and his stormy history with the law.
Other sources, since this publication on X, add that McMahon would have approached Netflix in order to buy the documentary series to prevent its broadcast. Apparently Ari Emanuel, from the TKO group, also asked Netflix to put the project on ice.
The online distribution giant has refused all offers and everything will be available to the general public from Wednesday.
